How to Restore User Data Via AvePoint Cloud Backup for Microsoft365

Objective: The objective of this blog will be to provide you a simple how-to-guide on restoring user data/directories from AvePoint cloud backup for Microsoft 365.


What is it?


AvePoint cloud backup is part of a full suite of SaaS solutions to migrate, manage and protect data.



Ensure you’re on the customer tab and log in via a MICROSOFT ACCOUNT or a SALESFORCE ACCOUNT.


Log into AvePoint interface by using your username as the Login ID and your password.


Click SIGN IN.

Select CLOUD BACKUP FOR MICROSOFT 365.

Click RESTORE.

ree

Select EXCHANGE ONLINE.

Enter keywords and click SEARCH to search for the user who’s data you’d like to restore.

Ensure the name, backup time range and level is specified.


Check the box and click RESTORE

Verify the following parameters:


a. Description


b. Where to restore data


c. Container level conflict


d. Content level conflict


Click NEXT.

Review the parameters you’ve set and click RESTORE.

Click on JOB MONITOR to check the status of your restore.

Status Update: The restore was successfully completed.
